HERE IS HOW TO DECRYPT PGP EPINS FILE SENT TO YOU BY RECHARGE CARD DEALER

If you buy ePins from some recharge card dealers in Nigeria, the epins they will send to you will be in pgp format which you can’t upload directly into the NetDivo recharge card printing software. You will have to decrypt such files to text files before uploading to the NetDivo ePin Manager.

The ePin dealers use Symantec Encryption software (aka PGP Desktop) to encrypt the software for security reasons and they provide a password which will be needed to open the pgp files.

So, in this post, I want to guide you on how to decrypt, decode or open pgp files that contain ePins so you can upload to NetDivo software and print out your e-vouchers.

Before you can open a pgp file, you must have installed the pgp software on your PC. If you don’t have it, contact us via email and we will tell you how to get it.

Below is a sample of epins pgp file :

To decrypt it, right click on it, select “Symantec Encryption Desktop” and click on ‘Decrypt & Verify….” as seen in the screenshot below:

Thereafter, you will be prompted to enter your passphrase.

Enter the passphrase or password given to you by the dealer that sold the epins to you.

If you entered the correct PASSPHRASE, the pins will be extracted as .txt (notepad) file into the same folder/directory where the encrypted file(s) resides.

The decoded/decrypted file will possess same name as the encrypted file as seen below :
